My 2 week old has a stuffy nose?

I've tried everything from suctioning out her nose, using saline drops and even running a humidifier. She just seems so miserable because her little nose is so stuffy. How long does it last. This is my first baby and i don't like seeing her suffer. Is there anything else that can be done to help her out. Should i take her to the doctors? Help i don't know what else to do.

1.

You need to take her to the pediatrician and they can prescribe something for her.

2.

Gosh - you've tried a lot of things and nothing is working. I'd give it 24 hours as long as it doesn't get worse and then take her over to the pediatrician. She could very well be allergic to something in her room, clothes, etc.

3.

That happen with my baby too. His nose always seemed to be stuffed. I use everything you used. Eventually, I went to the doctor and she gave me some type of medicine to use.

4.

There is a great book called 'Baby 411' that my pedi recommended. It's a quick reference for all things baby, that is especially helpful for first-timers.

I would continue with the saline, try not to suction too much you can hurt them and call the pedi, just to be sure. Don't rush to give meds, many newborns have stuffy noses due to the new environment and drainage from being in 'water' for 40 weeks.

Best wishes!
